Enter the Freeman

‘ENTER THE FREEMAN’, a short film based on the cult video game ‘Half-Life’, has been released on the internet 10 days ago and already reached more than 300,000 views, 13,000 ‘likes’ and over 3,000 comments on youtube. The fans of Half-Life around the world expressed an incredible enthusiasm for the film, and most of their feedback was nothing short of ecstatic

Directed by Ian James Duncan, and starring myself as the iconic character GORDON FREEMAN (yes, that’s me up there), this short film will likely lead to an entire webseries based on the same content. Ian and I (we produced the short together) are speaking to potential financiers as I’m writing this.

And some more good news:

I’m currently shooting a feature film in Connecticut, called ‘Something Whispered’. The story revolves around the fight against slavery in the 18th and 19th century. I’m very happy to have been entrusted with the part of JOHN NEWTON, an infamous slave trader who changes his ways after events that could only be described as ‘divine intervention’, becomes a priest and poet, and writes the now world-famous hymn ‘Amazing Grace’.

The other lead role – played by Academy-Award-Winner Cuba Gooding Jr. – is that of SAMUEL, who flees with his family from a plantation to  reach freedom, under constant threat of being caught and executed.
